I love seeing statements like that about a team that returns two starters and had three guys drafted into the NFL.

and had three guys drafted into the NFL.

Regardless of the individual talent, the line itself was never consistent and at times flat out sucked.

Mandel must be smokin' extra pole if he thinks that Minnesota is the ninth best team in the country.

  4. One of my neighbors is from Minn. and he swears the Gophers will win the BIG10.

Minny fans always think like that. One of my employees went there and he is already talking trash about this year. :shake:

Well, if they learned how to play defense, they would be one tough team, expecially with their running game.

CHIEF and LoKy: Remind your neighbor and employee that Minnesota's last outright conference title was 1941, and haven't even had a share of the conference title since 1967. They did, however, win the national title in 1960 despite being conference co-champs and going 8-2.

Losing a that Asad Abdul Khaliq guy at QB has got hurt them. They have to play at Michigan this year so I have a hard time seeing them winning the Big 10. The either open up with toledo or play them in their second game and I wouldn't be suprised at all to see the Rockets take them down.

To lose all the talent we have and still be considered pre season top 10 is awfully, awfully impressive.

I can't imagine that Minnesota will make a serious run (especially with trips to Michigan, MSU and Wisky) but I was surprised to see in a recent list of top 100 players for 2004 they had THREE (OSU had two).

Still, a Big Ten championship is a pipe dream.

Historically speaking; teams that don't have to play us in a given year do quite well in this regard.
    Logically speaking; it's Mini-HaHa!

Did anyone notice the comment on Louisville with Michael Bush listed as a RB? Was that a misprint or is he now an RB? I thought one of the issues with coming to OSU was that he didn't want to be moved from QB????

actually they let Bush know at the end of last season that he would not be a QB- their current QB has played well plus they have a top QB recruit (Brian Brohm) coming in behind him.
I actually heard that Bush was being looked at for Safety this Spring.

we need to get this site out to the masses....its not often you can go 5 or 6 posts deep saying a team wont win the national championship without their resident troll coming over to flame all of us.

    i know what always works:

miami (fl) sucks and will probably lose 4 games this year...including FSU. The Fiesta Bowl of 2002-03 was a perfectly officiated piece of art with ZERO bad calls the entire game.:box:

Bush got hurt this spring but they're trying him at safety and rb trying to find a place for him
