SimPLLLLLLLe Jim "6-13" Harbaugh (B1G Suspenders McKhakiPants, Cheater Cheater Booger Eater)

If that’s the case, the administration couldn’t possibly raise its middle finger to the fan base any higher. I understand it’s an enterprise; I guess the fan base is stupid for bitching about him not winning anything but also supporting the program financially at the same time.

Perfect. The savior moving close to full completion of failure. Dear DFBIA, who will be the savior after the savior?
Doesn't matter. Whoever it is....they'll find something minuscule and blow it way out of proportion and just ride that nonsense train until it crashes again. That's not even a prediction.....I'm just going off of what they've done every time since Carr retired.

I swear to god if they hire PJ Fleck and he puts boat oars on their helmets........ :slappy:

Another post from MgoBlog. I like this logic. We kick his ass, they raise cash, and everybody is happy.

Not going to find anyone in the yellow pages who could match this.

Credit should go to BTN not Harbrau.

Considering the BTN contributions were at $25mm per school in 2013, $36mm in 2017, $51.1mm in 2018 and $52.1mm in 2019, I'm not sure how much of this credit should be given to Harbrau. He has helped, I'm sure; but to paint it as though he alone is generating $20mm per year for the school is somewhat deceptive. ttun's revenue would be increasing by that same number, no matter who the coach was. (Of course, if Hoke was still there, they'd be spending a lot more cash on bbq...)

And it begins:

According to Zach Barnett of Football Scoop, Harbaugh’s representatives are reaching out to NFL teams to gauge interest in a return to the pros. It is expected he would find significant interest, given his 44-19 record with the San Francisco 49ers.

Report: Jim Harbaugh seeking opportunity to leave Michigan

The latest story revolves around, who else, but head coach Jim Harbaugh, who reportedly has his eye set on a return to the NFL and moving away from the job he took in 2015 at his alma mater. Per the report:

Sources tell FootballScoop that Harbaugh’s representatives have their eye on getting their client back in the NFL.

Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh's representatives are working behind the scenes to gauge interest in a possible return to the NFL, Football Scoop reported through sources on Tuesday.
Should Harbaugh take an NFL job, it would allow both he and Michigan to claim he left the program better than he found it while not trapping either side in what would quickly become an awkward arrangement — that of a favorite son returning home to lead the Wolverines to the promised land, only to be shackled in football purgatory where Harbaugh is too successful to fire but not successful enough to extend at the big-money figure that would be required to keep him.

If this happens, TFUN are going back down to where they were with RichRod and BBQ Boy...
Two names out there (potentially) concern me:
  • Matt Campbell - he's a terrific coach, with midwest ties, who has been successful at Iowa freakin' State. Not sure he has the recruiting chops to make scUM a perennial contender.
  • P.J. Fleck - young, energetic and charismatic, I think he would recruit like a mofo up there, but not sure the coaching accumen matches the recruiting potential.
scUM needs a rock star like Urban Meyer to get that program to the levels of the tOSUs, Bammers, and Clemsons of the world. I don't think that guy is out there right now. And there's 0.0 chance Urban comes out of retirement for that job. None.
