This is stunning. A supposed major D1 program, looking to overhaul its offensive identity, didn't even interview the guy the hired to do it. They just assumed bammer's success was his doing and he would waltz in and work magic on a severely dysfunctional unit. Could you imagine a major fortune company hiring a guy that was an accountant for another company to be it's CFO with no interview or any other type of vetting? Good Lord.

To overhaul a roster of unathletic TEs and FBs, shitty QBs, no RBs, and three WRs with NFL bodies and wanged helmets but not the prerequisite production. Harbaugh and Gattis thinking they could make this roster run the spread is as short sighted as Rich Rod thinking he could do it with Lloyd Carr’s roster.
Harbaugh doesn’t need Gattis, he needs a Tua and a Jerry Jeudy.

Hoke was a dope and made them soft. But he actually recruited relatively well in comparison to other coaches in the past 20 years there. Cupboard wasn’t bare when Harbaugh arrived, but it has trended poorly and that, coupled with Harbaughs inability to connect with kids and adjust style has left them rudderless. What a thing of beauty.

God, I love when they bemoan their “strict” academic standards holding them back on the field. I’d like for them to point out 1 kid on the tOSU roster that they wouldn’t take for academic reasons.
