Since everyone hates the lakers and spurs, here's the series thread here.

I won a math debate
So far, it's been what I was afraid of, Fisher has always had trouble with Parker. Hopefully Kobe heats up later on, but at this point, half way through the second quarter, the Spurs are dominating, which fails to please me.

This is basketball...So much talent on the floor...Just fun to watch...

If only the Cavs had any talent like this surrounding LBJ...Kobe doesn't really have an all-star (unless you consider Gasol one) but what he does have is 4 legit starters at the NBA level...LBJ is the only one guy that would start for either one of these teams...Not trying to turn this into a Cavs thread just making a point of how much talent in on the floor...

Hopefully this series goes 7, just for the enjoyment of a viewing fan...

Really surprised the Spurs let this one slip away...This is a back breaker, being up by 20 points...

Kobe took over when he had to and brought his team back..He had that look in his eye that Jordan used to get...

It's a little too early to call it a back breaker. The Spurs are a championship team, so I don't think they look at is as anything other than a tough loss on the road in Game 1.

Yeah, but it isn't like it was just a close loss...They were up 20...That is going to be a tough pill swallow especially if they don't get game 2 and go back home 2-0 knowing they should of won game 1...

So long as the winner of this series beats the Pistons-Celtics winner in the Finals, I couldn't care less who wins the Western Conference. That Eastern Conference final absolutely makes me sick--my two least favorite teams in the NBA. Any chance we can also change the title of that series' thread?

I agree.

The Spurs could still win this series but the universal sports principle I believe in says that when a good team exposes their throat and you fail to take advantage of it, you usually lose.

The Spurs had it in their hands and let the Lakers off, and I honestly think it was due to the Lakers rustiness from the long layoff and the Spurs won't get another chance to get them down like that again.

I've been wrong before but thats how I see it after last nights game.
