Im guessing they're not doing the pre sale stuff for season tix and alumni like they did past 2 years, this was around the time they've done it

I expect an e-mail like the one I got last year (about advance ticket sales through ticketmaster) anytime within the next week. Last Year I recieved it about Aug 8th. The tickets went on sale Aug 9th.

There would have to be less available since the students have more incentive to buy the whole season given the fact that they will be in session for every game.

Students were able to buy any game they wanted anyways in years past..just now they come in a package..

not sure how many bought the whole season cause of price though (over $200)

I knew that but if they live in another state would they come to Columbus just for the game. Since they changed to Semesters all the students are in Columbus for all the games.

I was reading through the first part of the thread, is going to the schott morning of games still a viable option? I see most of those posts talking about it is a good 6-7 years old

This is the first time I'm trying to get tix through another way outside of alumni or friends

That's because single game tickets generally are not as difficult to obtain as they were five, ten or fifteen years ago. Just buy them on the website - they're available right now.

Also, it's probably a good idea to follow the OSU Ticket Office on Twitter:

@OhioStateTix 12 Jul
ATTENTION FOOTBALL FANS: single game Ohio State football tickets will go on sale Friday 7/26 at 10am at http://OhioStateBuckeyes.com/Tickets

Last year I bought tickets to the Cal game off the website a week or two before the game. I got a pair, together, and it was a breeze. Ended up sitting next to empty seats on both sides of us. That would have been unheard of five, ten or fifteen years ago.

I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand it's nice to be able to easily get tickets when you want them. On the other hand it's a little sad that demand has gone down a tick. That's part of what has me scratching my head a bit about the seats that are being added. They're not filling the ones they have quite like they used to.

Pre sale email came today, presale begins July 22nd 8am, presale ends the 25th, tickets go on sale to general public via online July 26th 10 am. Just an FYI

Im guessing the presale is for season tix people only?

wish they'd do it like they did a few years ago when they allowed alumni people a chance to buy tix as well before the gen public..doesn't seem fair

Yeah I think the ticket office realized they were missing out on a lot of money by allowing alumni to presale. If they were to allow that they wouldn't have any buckeye or presidents club members b/c we'd all change to alumni tickets and just buy presale for the other games instead of paying thousands of dollars for the opportunity to buy season tickets.

maybe....but the season tix people would still have priority

something like, season tix july 22-24, alumni 25, public 26th would be nice
