Agreed. the timing would dictate this. If they hire him it was a great move by ND to ax Ty when they did. If they don't hire him, they will look like they rushed a minority out the door. Especially if the search goes on for a few weeks.

yeah sears....i agree...im not saying that meyer is the best choice....b/c i dont think he is....but he has to be the only choice....the deal was done before sunrise today...

besides its already a done deal.....so why discuss it...

Actually I would take Neuheisel (sp?). He has proven he can recruit and win.

I don't buy Meyer at a major Division I school yet. Really, how do you go from Utah to Notre Dame?? I think that is underselling ND. And how about Ferentz(sp)...I know he recently signed an extension but if I were a goldendomer that guy would be on top of my list. Also...what about Barry Alvarez? All he does is win with second tier talent. That's a perfect fit for ND.
