So Who Would You Take?

Sorry to edit this thread, but the exchange between Sears and DiHard has no place on the football forum. So their posts and all other posts related to them have been split from this thread and moved to the holding cell.

Obviously, I'm embarrassed to see that kind of pissing match on what we believe is the best OSU forum on the web. I guess I have to play "bad cop" tonight. I'm hoping it was just a bad evening for Di and Sears.

Please return to your regularly scheduled thread. Of the 2 choices, I'd pick Gruden.

I'm definately sorry I missed that one...I'll have to look for them in this "Holding Cell" you speak of (Romper Room, I presume). As for the question. I think I like Meyer. Less risk on Gruden...higher ceiling on Meyer. Urban's offensive system is a joy to watch and I think the Irish could be lighting the scoreboard up in a few years with this guy. I see Gruden as a 8-3 or 10-2 guy every year. Urban could be a bust and be average...but then again he's the type of guy that could win it all. That is what the ND fans have longed for. Screw mediocrity, the evil empire of college football wants a championship.

Sorry Oiler, the Holding Cell is a forum that only the Admins/Mods can access. It's a place to put threads/posts that we don't want to delete, but have no other home. We don't really want to delete anything, so we put stuff there just in case need it in the future.

I guess I can contain my childish urge to watch people duke it out...for now. I'll just have to pay more attention in the future.

Another case of a web site getting big and sticking it to the little people. You moderators keep all the good stuff for yourselves don't you? I bet there are cocktail waitresses in skimpy skirts serving complimentary drinks in this "holding cell" where you all sit around getting trashed reading all the best (or worst) posts. Let me guess, soon we'll need a premium subscription to access this "holding cell."

Oh......and I'd go with Meyer.

You did the right thing. You were lenient as far as I'm concerned. There should be absolutely no room for that BS on here.

Nutty, your killing me here! You should've played it down like it was nothing so I wouldn't have been upset about missing out! I'm sure I would agree that it was all uncalled for...but that doesn't stop me from watching Springer either  .

Now I will officially cease the slow jacking of this thread from the original topic :biggrin2: .

hmmm MIKE SHANAHAN is being brought up as well!

Did you see Shanahan Sunday night during the Oakland game? He was a shade of maroon I've never seen before. Someone needs to buy that man a hat or a scarf or something. Maybe the move to South Bend would be a good idea.

I'd still take Meyer.

As a Buckeye fan I'm pulling for anyone but Butch Davis to get the job.

I'm a Brown's fan also, and it's become evident that butch is a "college" coach along the lines of Steve Spurrier. These guys are excellent recruiters and are great at developing young talent at the college level. Butch simply doesn't have the "makeup" to relate at the professional level. No knock against him because I like the guy. And, I fear what he could bring to the Domers.

So, Butch is who I hope they don't pick,
"Chuckie" is probably who will come in second to,
Meyer.
