Sound Off !!! - Introduce Yourself

Hi all, I'm Ben and posting from Cheshire in the UK.

Through the magic of Tune In Radio (And boredom at work) I stumbled across the Loper and Randi show on The Blitz a few years ago and have been an avid listener ever since. Gradually over time they've subliminally turned me into a Bucks fan - It's hard to listen to the news and match build up etc every day without gradually being converted! For this season I'm going to try and watch online as much as possible so looking forward to hopefully an entertaining season!
I read this in a Brit accent... welcome aboard there matey

Well, I was privately invited to check this place out, so I am here.

Nice to see a place where the greats hang out. lol
Hello,
I live in Illinois and am an alumni of Arizona State ( received a baseball scholarship), however I am also a fan of OSU football. As a teen boy growing up in Illinois ( just N of St. Louis, MO) I loved watching the Buckeyes of the late 60's....Rex Kern, Jim Stillwagon, Leo Hayden, Jack Tatum, Bruce Jankowski, Mike Sensibaugh, etc. Wow...What teams they were back then...and oh yes, I almost forgot to mention Woody Hays...whew, forgive me...ha. The rivalry with Hays and Schembeckler is lost on the younger fans of this rivalry today...one had to be in that era to fully understand the emotion and intensity. Life and death..I even felt that intensity in Illinois back then.
By the way, Zeke Elliott was born in my small hometown, but he played high school fb in St.Louis so aI feel more of a connection to Buckeye football. Anyway, it is good to be here....I just hope they play much better than what they did today vs NIU...that was so uninspiring. They need to stay with power football, then again I am not Meyer hopefully he will get them on track again...he will.

Realized I'd never introduced myself so figured I post up. Been lurking here for years as I found early on this was a great source for all things Buckeye. Lifetime Ohio resident currently living near Akron; attended OSU originally but got my degree from Akron U. I work, have a wife and kids, drive cars, breathe air (usually) etc. Oh, and I have a beard - I know that counts for something. Hoping to participate more moving forward.
