oiler....if you want me to put it as simple as can be....the difference between ej and ashton is this...

instincts.....one has it...the other doesnt.....it was obvious at the 03 spring game when yobouty was a frosh.....that kid just has it.....
I knew Youboty would be quite a player when I saw all the playing time he was getting as a true frosh. I like him a lot. E.J. just has all that athletic ability and it sucks to watch him waste away. He's a total liability.

Here we go.

Who said he sucked? Not me. Yeah his past stats are decent but the defense around him helped.

I have only been to one game and I will be there Saturday so maybe seeing him play live change my opinion.

I personally would like to see Lyons, Ginn, and Holmes on our three reciever set. Add Gonzalez when we go 4. Whoever is in the split end position is going to have to make 2 or 3 big catches in this game of 15 yards or more. We have to burn michigan early with their man to man. I would love to see us come out guns a blazing to start the game with two plays that sends holmes deep and ginn running the slant pattern.

Roy Hall looked liked a fucking O-Lineman when he caught that ball and got drugged down from behind.

Bottem line is Hall has to do a better job being an athlete out there. He has to get seperation and he yet to do that. He will be in for a battle starting the end of this season with Lyons!

According to your philosophy, he should have less tackles that he does, since the defense around him helped so much.

I thought you said you were not sold on him? So what is it? Is he good, or is he bad? You can't have it both ways. Quit jumping the fence. Find a position and stick with it. Just because you didn't use the word "sucks" doesn't mean you didn't say he wasn't good.

I heard the whole show and nothing like that was mentioned, chris noted that teddy g hadn't played a down on d.

maybe your friend and i listened to different shows:slappy:

I really should leave this alone but it is the competitor in me. Fox is alright as a senior DB at OSU. Like all of us reading this, I have very high standards for those who come to Buckeye land. There are many other players on the team who havent showed a thing since they have been here. They may have made a play here or there over the course of a career, but not in every game. I hope that I am wrong because Edwards is about the best receiver OSU has faced since Andre Johnson and Winslow of the U.

Fox is solid. I don't think anyone thinks he is Winfield, or Springs, but he is, and has been under rated. He does let guys catch some in front of him, but he doesn't get burned for the big gain. He is also excellent in run support, and is one of the best tacklers on the team.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Ginn on D, if scuM went 3-4 wide consistently. As this won't happen unless we shut down their running game, I don't we find out whether Ginn could do it. Our best chance with scuM is aggressive man CB play and effective DL penetration. Without the latter, the former will be just as ugly as our soft zone (see 2003 scuM game for distasteful reminder). It's time to play the DL who are willing to play balls out and sacrifice for the team. We will win or lose on the line. Go Bucks!

For the last time...... Ginn WILL NOT be playing defense on Saturday. He hasn't done it yet and he's not gonna start against (possibly) the best receiving corps in the country. (there Mili, I took care of it for ya)

Exactly. I think Spls was thinking out loud on this one is all.

Fox is a very good corner- not exceptional, but does break a lot of passes in coverage. Good enough to make teams shy away from him.

This won't come down to recvs. It will come down to lines again.
