Sports Illustrated - Cleveland Edition

I have been informed by an associate friend of mine here in Jacksonville Florida that "Sports Illustrated" magazine will be coming out with a "Cleveland Special Edition" in the next week. It will only be available in the cleveland area. It has some great articles written by such notables as Tex Maul and Dan Jenkins in regards to many events that have taken place in Cleveland over the past 50 or 60 years. It is hosted by a writer of S?I named Peter King. Any information that any of you can let me know of this happening would be most appreciated. I would love to get 2 copies of this for my own use. Can any of you help me here. Thanks.

And what, pray tell, could possibly be included in that magazine?

YouTube - The Cleveland Curse

Thanks OH10 for the YouTube memories of what exactly what I was not looking for. But there are some great moments in Cleveland and Ohio history that may be of some interest to people who still have a passion for what the state of Ohio contributed to the world of Sports. I guess you just missed the meaning of my message.

If they have a "special" issue for one of the most dismal sports cities in America in terms of actually winning something, they must have one for every city...because every city that has had pro teams for 20+ years can claim a more recent title than Cleveburg.

then again, I'm sure there are reams of material that can be made for "almost" beating the Red Sox..and almost beating the Broncos....and almost beating the Marlins...and almost beating the Bulls...:slappy:

I'm guessing 1/3rd of the issue is about LeBron, 1/3rd is about Brady Quinn, and the other 1/3rd is the section of Almost Great Moments in Cleveland Sports History.

They could also have a section regarding ex-Cleveland legends who actually won it all...elsewhere (Kosar, Manny, several Ravens)

Ron Harper, Danny Ferry, Joe Carter, Bill Belidick, Ronnie Belliard

Even most recently, along with Manny, fucking Julian Tavarez.

It never ends for Cleveland. But I'm confident that when Art Modell dies, his tombstone will break the record (currently held by Mussolini) for the most saliva.
