Sports 'journalists' (Who Don't Work For ESPN)

Option #1: Treat a color ban during practice as a humorous way to reinforce the greatest rivalry in sports.

Option #2: Be a condescending, holier-than-though douchebag by acting like enforcing a color ban during practice is somehow a big deal and harmful.

It has been said before, but since when have sports writers gotten paid to ignore sports and focus primarily on morality?

Honestly, the color ban is pretty ridiculous. It just screams mid-major.

Given how much I've seen Meyer joke around about it in interviews and on the practice field, I think it screams "light hearted joke with a smile" because that's what Meyer projects when he talks about it.

He talks about it on here last year (I can't find the exact spot right now) and somehow it didn't blow up into a huge story because the video put it in context.

If I didn't think Brady Hoke was such a fat dumbass and he treated the whole 'Ohio' thing like a light hearted joke I would cut him the same slack. I don't think that is a big deal in the first place, only mildly obnoxious and stupid.

Given fat fucks history of being an obnoxious dbag, I'm not as willing to cut him the same slack. Plus there's that whole allowing your fandom to bias your opinions on certain things, which I know you try extremely hard to avoid.

Trollin' big time. #2 is BCS picks: BCS championship: Ohio State vs. Alabama

Only the link to Ohio State only highlights the word Ohio and points to the Bobcats page.

Not sure where to put this. A raging Vol fan I work with mentioned VolQuest has thread titled: "Dan Patrick saying a major College Story will break tomorrow..."

Has anyone else heard this? I don't have a membership to view the thread.

SI just posted this "report":

Sports Illustrated @SInow

Report: Alabama head coach Nick Saban will visit Texas on.si.com/1e97bPO
21 minutes ago

based on a Paul Finebaum tweet that Saban would be in Texas this weekend. But... as soon as the comments started rolling in, all pointing out that Bama is playing at Texas A&M and so Finebaum was being his usual hilarious self... the "report" was quickly scrubbed from the site.

Someone told me there's the investigation story (from Sports Illustrated) on Oklahoma State football.

I looked and saw it was George Dohrmann on the lead. Judging from Dohrmann's recent work, it pretty much means 3/4 of the findings will be fabricated and SI will end up getting sued (like Reeves Nelson).

Dohrmann going after OSU? I'm sure Dohmann will be more than surprised when his plane lands in Stillwater and not Columbus. Next up... Corvallis

(As an aside, had Ohio State not changed to Scarlet and Gray was back in the 1890s, OSU, OSU and OSU would all have Orange and Black as their colors.)

I bet they were real nervous in Stillwater until they found out it was Dohrmann. Then just uproarious laughter all around.
