umm....where were we....oh. id take thump in any kind of wager because with him its always 2 screen names vs. one. a tag team match between thump and tibor needs to be set up some time soon.
Don't forget my donnysr moniker as well!

I'll take BN27, exhawg, or Alan on my Tag Team. I'm guessing Tibor would pick RogerMoore considering everyone else thinks he's an ignorant asshole and wouldn't to be on his team.

I would pin Tibor and then shove a hamburger into his mouth.

I would definitely put the vCash on donnyjr and myself.
I don't know Thump. What if Tibor has moves like the Great Tiger from the NES Punch-Out game. You might have some trouble with all of that spinning around the ring.

Bill Raftery = Dennis Wolfberg

I'll take Spielman or Danielson any day over the other color guys - Herbie and Corso are good too. heck, with Spielman, you actually learn something!
Musberger is over the top, but that's what i like about him.

the ubiquitous Dickey V's act was old 2 years after he hit the big time -which was a loooong time ago.

Lundquist does a pretty good job for BBall - I grew up watching Enberg in the early 70's doing college games - he was good then, but needs to retire. Same with K Jackson - way overdue.

most hated announcer ever - hands down, not even close - Curt Gowdy
his hunting show was good, though.

Which announcer was it that blatantly showed that he was following directions not to disregard the refs... when he commented on the Villanova travel against UNC. He counted a mysterious 3rd step that didn't exist. He did it twice, counted the third step both times when the guy had not taken another step after the step he called "2" That was the worst sportscasting I've ever seen

Wait, I lied. Dennis Dodd and his total disregard of the rule book in screaming bad call, bad call in the fiesta bowl. His partner tried to point out that it could have been pass interference for the holding early on, yet he screamed out "but they called pass interference" and the entire nation believed that moron.

ahhh i like Bill Raftery and , atleast i do, think he does a good job. i know he has his sayings and all of the voices but seriously, atleast he can go and call a game and chill out most of the time. Vitale can't get over himself and screams during the whole game and mentions atleast 3 or 4 players who he's "met with and talked to his parents" and talks about how they are the best he's seen and how they are just the greatest of kids.

John Madden is great with how he points out the little things that no one really notices and explains things. I got to admit though, im really getting annoyed with hearing him and Al Michaels on the Madden NFL series.

Curt Gowdy and Howard Cosell are the all-time worst. Howard was actually OK doing boxing, but was annoying at everything else.

Al Michaels and Bob Costas have managed to be around for over 25 years without bugging the shit out of me, so that says a lot.

Jim McKay was good on the old Wide World of Sports, but he stayed around too long.

Keith Jackson was the man, but he should have quit a few years ago. Dick Enberg was OK, but he's well past his prime and should hang it up.

John Madden hasn't been entertaining to me for years.

I used to hate Brent Musberger, but he's OK now. "Holy Buckeye" helped a lot.

Fowler and Herbstreit are great on college football. Corso's basically a clown at this point. Tirico is pretty good, and very knowledgeable.

Whoever said Dickie V. was good for about 2 years nailed that one.

Billy Packer is just OK. Jim Nance I don't care either way. Al McGuire I loved for a few years and then he quit trying and wasn't so good.

Brad Nessler is pretty good.

It seems like there are a lot more bad announcers than good announcers. There are just too many games on tv/radio, so these networks have to get announcers somewhere. It seems like the pull some in off the street and hand them a microphone.

I don't hate Musburger as much as I used to, but I don't understand how someone who does so many OSU games can still make references to Santanio/San Antonio Holmes.

I absolutely abhor Bill Rafferty. There is just something about him that I cannot stand. Dickie V is a bit more tolerable becuase his passion at least seems legitimate.

Marty Brenneman is great with the Reds games, but Joe Nuxhall is sounding more like Harry Caray every year. (and I don't consider that a good thing)

I don't know why, but I love to listen to the Blue Jackets announcers on the radio. George Matthews and Bill Davitch(sp) crack me up every time. The first time I heard "Holy moley! What a goalie!" I just about crashed my car.

Madden is intolerable. He rambles on and on without saying much. But at least he's not Dennis Miller.

The rest of the lot, I can pretty much take or leave, but these are the guys that jump out at me.

You won't have to be worried about Nuxhall anymore since he is no longer doing games.

BTW, I haven't seen anyone use the word abhor since the Roosevelt Administration.
