Hey folks...Do y'all think Corey has locked up a spot on the weekend rotation?
I still think Caroll has an outside shot.

IMO Madsen, Luyster, Delucia, and Luebke could be our best collection of weekend starters in years....

Fausnaugh, Hatcher, Meister, Barker, and Caroll coming out of the pen is our biggest problem. We need this group to step up if we want to challenge for the Big 10 title.

UIC on Monday. They are the best team we have seen so far on this spring break trip...my guess is Delucia gets the ball.

I'm looking foward to talking Buckeye baseball with you all !

Hey guys. Don't follow to much baseball, but most of our other sports have been doing well and you guys are making it sound like the baseball team is doing well.

What do you guys think about our chances to win the big ten and who are the favorites.

Also is there a slim chance we could make the CWS?

The Big 10 race is gonna be a good 'en ! I think the Bucks and Meatchicken will be neck and neck for the title. Evethough Minny appears to be down, you cant help but think they will get it together and be in the mix by the end of the season. You gotta give Michigan a slight advantage at this point, but the Bucks will be right there if the bullpen comes together IMO. The Buckeye bats have been strong, and thats a great sign considering that the leagues best hitter Steve Caravati is out with a hamstring pull. The defense is solid, and has only cost us one game this year.

The rest of the Big Ten is hard to figure out...if i had to pick the 6 teams that make the Big 10 tourney, i'd go with...Michigan, tOSU, Minny, Illinois, Penn state, and Iowa. Eventhough Indiana has the best record in the league at the moment, i feel they are pretenders like last years team. Northwestern, Michigan State, and Purdue have room to improve and may be factors in the end.

I feel this Buckeye team could be special if our starting pitching holds up, and the bullpen comes around. The return of LHPChris Hanners would be a huge help as well. IMO there is no way this league doesnt get 2 teams in the NCAA regionals this year, and its a safe bet that the Big 10 champ will host a regional with the apparent demise of Notre Dame. At worst, i think we finsh second in the Big 10 with at leat 40 wins.

I agree with rh. OSU, Minnesota and scUM appear the teams to beat. But with the Buckeyes doing well in FL (many predicted a big goose egg) I gotta think they will be the favorites.

Only 10 days until the Bucks play their first home game in Bill Davis!

UNIT: Going to an OSU game at Bill Davis is like a Holy Grail for me. If the weather isn't good, they are out of town. If they are in town and the weather is good, I'm busy. :smash: No excuses this year, I'm taking my kid to a game if it kills me.

Bucks beat Cornell today 6-4...had to come from behind!!

Luyster got the win....Hatcher and Meister pitched well in relief. Nice that the pen seems to be coming around, because it appears that the bats have cooled down a bit. Illinois beat Cornell earlier today 16-2...ouch!!!
Dartmouth and then Cornell again to finish out the spring break trip..unbeaten i hope.
