I've been around here for a long time mostly as a reader but what are the monthly costs to run the site?
Bandwidth runs toward the upper hundreds per month, depending on traffic levels. We have a few hundred in software and hardware costs, and Clarity pays a really awesome tech hero to figure out server stuff that is a little out of our range of knowledge whenever the alarms go off. In the past, we've also earmarked some specific personal, mostly medical, expenses for Clarity; we're not specifying items this time, but some still goes to help out there. Everything is variable, both on the cost and revenue side, so doing the drive in the slower months is actually pretty useful for figuring out what we'll have available in the busier, more expensive months.

So, Deety, exactly what are my options to donate? Is it hard? :)
Why, I'm so glad you asked! The easiest way is through the PayPal link, where you can use PayPal or even a simple credit card with no PayPal account needed. Monthly donations go through this link. Checks go to the address in the first post. If you're wiring money from your offshore account, it's probably good to check in with Clarity directly. :p

Why, thank you so much. Just used the PayPal link. It sure was easy, and a great value to keep BP going.
GO BUCKS!!

In. Some of the best money I spend each year.

Repeat question- Is there any interest/possibility of upgrading to include a mobile browser platform? Tapatalk or something similar?

I'd be willing to donate more for the privilege of reading BP in all of the crappy meetings that I get stuck in with only my phone...

We're in a holding pattern to see what form vBulletin5 is going to take. Whether we go to that or vB4 they both have built in Forum Runner support.

Same thing, really, just a different flavor. It was bought out by Internet Brands which owns vBulletin, so it's since been built into vB as part of the core product. No matter what we upgrade to, we'll support a true mobile experience. vB5 should be out in limited form any time now, we just need to give it enough time to be full-featured and stable.
