Keep in mind everyone that if you all throw in $5 we could realistically have a new server soon... whereas if you don't we may still have to wait quite a while...

I know money is tight for many of you (i'm a college student at a 25K yearly school, trust me, I know)... but help us out.

We should make around $1000 if not more from the t-shirts, so that $8000 is not as unreachable as you might think... and we hope to sell a ton of shirts in the fall as well at games... but that will only get us closer

seriously, there isn't any reason that people cant donate a few bucks...like when you're at a party and somone orders 25 pizza's, everyone needs to drop in the "hat" (yes i can say that since i sent an extra 20 with my shirt order- ok probably ended up being an extra 17 after paypal )

Let's Get Serious About $$$$

I've watched the T shirt profit idea as another way to get Clarity a new server for some time now.
I kept thinking, "why do we all need another T shirt"? Profits form the T shirt idea might get Clarity another $5 per head. At present, we have about 132 shirts ordered. 132 X 5 is $660.

If all those 132 BPers had give $20 toward a new server ( I know that many of you also have given $$ in addition to the T shirt thingy) that would be $2600.
ClarIty posted on the T shirt thread that we had gotten about $150 so far. Guys, go back and read that post and see if you read the frustration in his post that I read.
We/he needs thousands, not hundreds to get the new server.
To the guys who have put all the work into the T shirt idea, I totally respect all the work you have done. Please don't take offense. I know that the T shirt idea has been a labor of love.

With al that said, I am willing to put my $$$ where my mouth is. I WILL WRITE CLARITY A CHECK ( up to $1000) TO MATCH THE PROFIT FROM THE T SHIRTS.
I'm not a rich old retired fart. I'm a physical Educatin major who taught and coached at Circleville HS from 1962 till 1966. (I had Steve Helwagon's Uncle Bruce in class when he was a senior.) My first years pay was $4250.

ANYBODY ELSE WILLING TO PUT SOME MATCHING $$$$$ UP?????
I've been on this site since day one and on Bucknuts before their day one.

I mean really, just how many T shirts do we need?

Oh yeah, what the hell is a server?

Go Bucks

Great post CB62. I already tossed in some $$ and bought two T-shirts, but I will also toss in another $100 to match. Hell I'm single :)

We need to step up guys and gals...Clarity has given us all of this and now it is time we give something back.

Well I like 21 have tossed cash and bought a few tee's, but $$ is tight for everyone and I totally understand that. My theory is to give when I can, sometimes it isn't much, hell, most of the time it isn't much but $40 or $50 here and there can really add up. I guess what I am trying to say is don't hold back just because you don't feel that the $$ that you can donate will make a difference. It has been mentions numerous times that if everyone just kicked in $10 then it would be a done deal. I know not everyone is going to donate, but don't hold back just because of the amount. Hell for one weekend maybe buy a couple of cases of beer and rent scarface instead of going out and donate the difference.

I totally agree. I calculated the amount that everyone would have to donate to match our goal if everyone with over 100 posts donated. The price was equivelent to a music CD. I know each of us get more out of this site than we do a CD.

I was VERY excited to donate in this spring drive because I didn't have the financial ability to do it in the past. I was STRAPPED. While my cash flow isn't yet stable by any means, I put aside money every week so that I would have the ability to help in whatever ways I could. It felt great to finally be a small part of supporting the site financially.

The climate of this site is such that you will never be judged based on what you do or do not give. I would just strongly encourage you to give as you have received from BuckeyePlanet. I get great satisfaction from ANYTHING I can do for Clarity because he's been such a blessing to so many people. As much as he has sacrificed for us, most anything we can do pales in comparison.

also,

I know this has been mentioned before but it would be great if we could get a chart or guage of some sort so that we could track the progress of the donations to know how far we have come and how far we have yet to go.

I think you've stumbled upon a new campaign theme: Download a CD's worth of music and then donate your savings to BP

Excellent Post!

I wish I could donate more at this time but a few shirts and 10 bucks is all I can afford after being out of work for a few months. One CD, one dinner or lunch.... 10 bucks isn't much but if the majority can donate that little bit it will add up.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far.
