I get it - you don't put in a cold QB halfway through a game. And it's different playing against 2nd stringers in a Spring game. And no one's been a bigger JT fan than I have.

That said, when things are clearly not clicking (i.e. at the end of last year), I still think 1 or 2 series with Burrow could have helped spark something (anything) on offense.

Burrow wasn't ready. Plain and simple. scUM's and Clemson's DL would've eaten him alive

Showcased what he's solid at (short and intermediate routes) and played decently doing so. Seems like they are still working on his confidence with the deep ball, and I'm fine with that. Nothing spectacular, but nothing to be overly concerned about.. Yet. Hopefully Kevin Wilson is out for blood in Game 1, and puts to rest any question we have about Barrett's deep ball ability.
