My office is right across from Flannagans, and it is packed already. This by far is my favorite work day of the year. I don't get much done and i stare out my window and watch all the hot women walk by. As for what I'm doing I'll be bartending down at brewmasters gate for some 5k run event that ends in our bar. so if anyone wants to come down I'll buy your first round.

Just got back from St. Patty's lunch. Had corned beef and cabbage with a green Coors Light and a Guinness (since I was still hungry). At first the Guinness tasted like beer that someone had put a cigar out in, but by the end of the pint I was liking it.

Anyone who was at Byrne's in Grandview knows it was a joke last night. If not for the fact that I knew a few people working there last night, it would have only been worse. I them telling people waiting in line to get in as I was leaving that it was close to an hour wait. I only made it until about 10:00 before a group of us went back to my place for a little after hours and to watch the rest of the basketball games.

That's why I hate St. Patrick's day.

Everyone jamming into one spot to act like they're Irish.

Exactly correct. Just because you drink a beer at a bar with an Irish-sounding name does not make you Irish. Now, if you had gone to Catholic Mass, participated in a riot, insulted the English, and got your wife pregnant in addition to drinking the beer...then you can say you were Irish for the day.

By the way... who in their right mind... who isn't Irish, would actually want to be?

last year was not nearly as crowded as it was last night...

Was it still a freak show?

I'm trying to remember if I went last year... I think I did, and I do remember it being a bit less crowded than usual... but 2 and 3 years ago, it was an effing madhouse... I usually go to those place earlier in the day though.. so as to avoid the 8000 cops that usually surround them when I'm really hammered

freak show is right...plus I heard someone set off a few stink bombs in the tent. that was annoying, although I was relieved it wasn't what I originally thought I smelled. the entertainment was pretty cool though, espcially when the Shamrock Club drummers did the OSU cadence...

I went to flannigans last night, mainly because I like 17th Floor. I was surprised it was not crowded at all. It took about 5 mins to get in and that was just because this guy in front of Me was so drunk he couldnt get his wallet out of his jeans. Had a good time except one dumbass who kept picking this girl up and spinning her aroundand hitting everyone around Him. He knocked down this other girl at one point, then I see this huge guy...I dont know if he was security or a friend of the girl that got knocked down. But he picks up this little guy and was like ....you knock anyone else down spinning her like that.....I'm going to knock your fucking teeth in. They left after that. But over all a good time
