Can't wait...this is supposed to be the darker" movie in line with Empire, which is good, because I thought the first 2 newer ones were too "feel-good" as compared to the originals.

I never thought that Lucas could do such a poor job after the first three movies, but he lost his touch years ago (probably when the Ewoks appeared). These last two have been awful and I cannot imagine the next being any better.

If memory serves me, there were supposed to be nine all together. Three trilogies. The first trilogy was Star Wars, Empire and Jedi. The next trilogy was the slop they are handing us now. The last one was supposed to be episodes 7, 8 and 9, but I doubt they will ever be made.

Portman and Christensen have been great in other stuff (The Professional and Life as a House, respectively), but they could do nothing with Episode II. There was little/no on-screen time for them to create genuine chemistry, and Lucas' subpar directorial skills certainly didn't help. Hopefully the focus in Ep. III will be on Anakin's psychological deterioration. Either way, the last two have done irreparable damage to the reputation of the series. While IV, V and VI are each at least 8.0s out of 10, I'd give Ep. I about a 5, and Ep. II a 3.5 - and that's being nice.

I'm with you IronBuck they have the acting skills of a junior high showing of Greace 2.

Vbryant the only Portman movie I've ever seen is Heat.

The new ones suck, but if Jar Jar gets his ass blown up in this one, all is forgiven.
You should change your avatar to the comic book guy.

portman's first movie (at least the first one i am aware of...) was pretty good.

check out 'the professional'.

i thought the first prequel sucked ass and the second one was ok. both need to be more evil for my tastes, ideally the third one will be all evil and make the first two worth it.
