Starting to like this team...

OK, it is still not the team I expected at the start of the season, but it is a better team than I thought we would see at all six weeks ago. And most importantly, they are starting to play Jim O'Brien basketball. Hard nosed defense and playing from whistle to whistle. Everybody who sets foot on the court right now is going after it. And Stockman - wow!

Tonight is the first time in a while I have watched an entire game and really enjoyed it. With the exception of a moment here and there that was very good basketball - as was the IU game.

Stockman had another very good overall game. Fuss-Cheatem finally found his 3 point shot, and he hit 2 3-pointers at key points in the game. FC also showed confidence in taking the outside shot when Minnesota's D concentrated on doubling down low and leaving FC wide open on the outside. Good overall team effort - being down by 12 points late in the 1st half and closing it to 1 at the half, then coming out in the 2nd half and just dominating.

Very impressive showing from Obie's boys last night. He could have lost this team long ago but last night's performance was as good as I've seen this year. That's a credit to to Obie, his staff and his players. Very nice to see :)

I really am proud of both the coaching staff and the players for not quitting. It takes a lot to find the intestinal fortitude to break yourselves out of a losing streak and although you have little to play for, still go on the road and beat teams.

It does give you a semblance of hope this team CAN do things next year.
