I don't think anyone ever blames the aging veteran for chasing a title at the end of his career. Although Malone not retiring a Jazz was disappointing.

Gary Payton won one with Miami and then retired.

Alonzo Mourning jumped around a bit in his career too and he finally came back to Miami to get his ring.

Lakers have lived of free agency for a long time now. Miami has taken advantage of it what, twice? With Shaq and then Lebron/Bosh. When you have guys like Wade and Chalmers who were drafted and developed on the team, you can't really say that.

Guys like Pau, Shaq, Artest, Fisher, Horry, and so on were not drafted and developed by LA.

Shaq, LBJ, Bosh are only part of the story (not to mention the magnitude of those FA signings dwarf anything the NBA has ever seen, more less anything the Lakers have ever done). Ever heard of Shane Battier, Eddy Curry, Juwan Howard or Mike Miller?

That I don't understand. Steve Nash gave the Suns the best years of his career, but they couldn't win a championship with him. He wanted to win a championship, so he signed with a team he felt like could help him win. If I was a Suns fan i'd be [censored]ed if he went to the Raptors for the money. Plus he went to Suns with the sign and trade idea, so he didn't totally f them over.
And the suns got beasly, gordon in FA and aaron brooks coming back. Playoff caliber.
Basically Phoenix fans are the worst ever. I think it stings even more that Nash was so beloved and he's going to the Los Angeles Satans (as far as they're concerned). I don't think anybody truly believed that the suns were going to be a title contender but they feel that Nash leave to play for the Lakers is a slap in the face.
Also, I've never seen such bandwagoners. When the Suns, Cardinals, Coyotes or Diamondbacks are doing well you never see such fanatics for their team but when they're not....crickets.

I have to disagree, PENN STATE FANS ARE THE WORST EVER.

dang, you're right. I forgot he was there and then left, and then came back.

Alright, drop Fisher and add names like Glenn Rice, Ron Harper, Brian Shaw, John Sally, and Horace Grant.
You just don't like the Lakers man and that's ok. That distaste is clouding your opinions though. Nash to LA is hardly a Yankee's type move by the franchise and one you would GLADLY make if you were the GM. And it's good for Nash. People want to play with winners.

I won't argue that........but when you are as good as LA is year in and year out, you have to live via free agency to a certain degree. You won't be a perennial championship contender drafting around #25 every season. That was my main point.

but hey, I hate the Lakers and the Yanks with a fervor, so I saw a chance to slam both and went with it.......LOL
