Stewart Scott in Naples, Fl Friday Night

Naplesbuckeye

All-American
I was partaking in a few adult beverages when a short black man with black rimmed glasses walked passed me. After a double take about every guy in the bar realized that it was Stuart Scott.

A month ago or so I posted that my roommates hook up used to work at ESPN. One night over some beers she told us some dirt on several ESPN employees. One of the best stories was that of Stu Scott. We all know that he has a glass eye in his right eye. About a year and a half ago Stu started wearing yellow or colored glasses on some occasions as well. The reason:

Apparently he attended an NFL camp, or college camp or something to do a story. The jugs machine was going that day and he decided to try his luck with catching footballs. Apparently he went to catch a ball and it hit him squarely in his left eye causing considerable damage.

She tells me that he can hardly see. You can tell that it is almost closed as when he is speaking and on tv. I saw it up close and I was surprised that he could even see where he was going.

He paid the staff to open the restaurant up stairs so he could have private time. All of my friends decided to go up stairs, in pairs of two's (two in and two out) as Stu had requested. I decided that I wasn't going to wait to go up stairs and view or try to speak to a human being. I felt like he was some sort of side show attraction, like I feel about most celebrities. I stayed downstairs by my lonesome and then headed home.

Kinda stupid but nothing else really happens down here in God's waiting room.

are we talking about worse than the usual lazy eye he has?

Yeah, believe it or not. His left (the viewer's right) eye (his good one) seemed to be barely open. Through the non-football months, I rarely watch any Sportscenter or ESPiN, so I hadn;t noticed it before. Last night I saw it and was wondering if something had happened or if I had just never noticed it before.

Why all this anger against Stu?

He's "as cool as the other side of the pillow".

I think he coined that phrase after biting hundreds of them over the years. :teeth:
