Ohio State hasn't had consecutive losing seasons in 81 years and has had but one losing season (the first year of John Cooper, every Michigan fan's favorite Buckeye head coach) in 38 years...hardly a "stretch of losing seasons". By the way, the last time Ohio State was on any type of football probation was the mid-50s.

As for Coach Tressel, I'll take him over cry-baby Lloyd "Der Whinemeister" Carr anyday. Tell you what, when you find any wrongdoing on Coach Tressel's part, then you can call him a "win at all costs, sell my soul to the devil coach". Until then, you can just call him "Daddy", because he owns Michigan.

I guess there is something to be said for consistency...

Three Loss LLLoyd is about as consistent as they come. Consistently losing out-of-conference games against inferior opponents, consistently losing to Jim Tressel, consistently failing to produce a defensive gameplan to stop a mobile QB, and consistently whining and bitching about it all the whole time!:scum4:

From 1958 through 1967 Michigan had six losing seasons, twice having back to back losing records during that stretch. Their combined record during those TEN YEARS was 45-46-3.

In the four years from 1934 through 1937 they did not have a winning record in any season.

    Ancient history?

We still haven't made it back to 1923 and 1924 - which is the last time OSU had back to back losing seasons.

    Go Blue.

IMO Michigan fans are worried we are gonna make it to the NC game. If we go to the NC game undefeated and win that will be 2 UNC, 2 B10 titles, 3 BCS victories, 4-1 vs. them, and 4-1 in Bowl games in 5 years with Tressel. IMO that would be their worst nightmare.

I love reading them downplay our improvement and the emegence of players like Gonzo and Youbooty.

They lose a player that single handedly won them 2-3 games(Edwards) and their 2 best DB'S AND THINK THEY ARE GONNA BE ALOT BETTER NEXT YEAR. It's truly amusing and I laugh my ass off when I go over there and lurk.

    Oh hell, I can't stop.

Since 1995 OSU has won 11 or more games 5 times. Michigan once.

To find five season in which Michigan HAS won 11 or more games you have to go back to.... uh.....let's see..... oops, my bad. They have only done it 3 times in the schools history. (OSU has done it 7 times overall).

Now, that's a little unfair. It was those terrible attack dogs that shook them up, remember? Vicious attack dogs that mugged them coming off the busses. Oh, it was horrible, nearly the entire lineup entered psychological counseling to get over the experience.

Feel free to take the blog I wrote about Michigan over to that thread.
They say there's something to be said for consistency? Sure..... Here's something, consistency is pretty meaningless without a reference point. You know what other teams are consistent?
    1. Baylor
    2. Vanderbilt
    3. Indiana

Nice company you keep, there, Michigan. Something to be said for consistency? Sure is....
