In his grand total of eight career starts. Might as well bench his ass since he sucks in "big games"...
You're the master of knocking down straw men arguments.

Calling for an offensive game plan that compensates for his (and any true freshman's) struggles in big games against good defenses is a far cry from calling for him to be benched.

I don't think you know what that means.
I know what it means. My reply wasn't a straw man argument in the first place because it directly addressed a myopic comment on your part...I reminded you of how few games he has played. You're pigeonholing Barrett on the basis of a very small sample size.

I said the coaches need to create a game plan that recognizes and compensates for Barrett's struggles in previous games. You mocked the idea of benching him.
You insinuated that he would not be able to handle tonight's pressure based on his performance against VT and PSU...I disagreed.

Then don't make a straw man argument.
86 saying something = viewpoint (that you may feel is stupid or wrong )

Mili arguing with fictitious stances from 86 = strawman
Barrett showed heart in the PSU game when it mattered most and gained a lot from his experience in the largest crowd he'll face all year. I think he gained a ton in maturity just from that game.
yes he did. He also struggled severely throughout that contest, which is why it was a great growing moment.

you addressing someone directly is a critical element of a strawman, with the other part being the invention that 86 wants him to be benched.

which is an opinion and prediction and not close to being a strawman. Something being illogical is different than intentionally misrepresenting someone's argument so that it easy to knock down in a fight. Like an actual strawman.

I happen to find his viewpoint way off on how Herman coached the psu game. My opinion that he is way off is why I will find fault with him. For a strawman to get involved, I have to misconstrue his stance to make the debate easier to win. Like claiming 86 would rather have rich rod and tater tot running the offense than Herman and jt.

I got a split!?

I'd like to thank all the alcohol I've consumed while watching games this year and my limited experience playing football in high school which makes me think I know what I'm talking about.

Thank you!

Edit: Whoops, special shout out to Mili for making this possible as well.
Buckeyes are humble and hungry this weekend. We're coming for your lunch money, Mark.

I'd be more inclined to agree with you had you warmed the bench in high school. If you played, your view was limited. Basically, you don't know shit.
