I dont know if you want to give Dantonio this much credit.. but something that occurred immediately to me.. we had been playing turtle ball all game.. if he realized that, it makes sense.. if he goes for two, and gets it. He is winning so great. If he fails, like he did, we do, what we did, and stay in turtle mode and they get the ball back with plenty of time.. if he kicks the extra point he ties the game and risks pulling us out of turtle mode and having to face this offense at capacity with lots of time left..

Indeed. This Cowboys fan was glad to see it, especially after they failed. Each team scored two more TDs after that decision, and the Redskins were always two scores behind when they got the ball back.

Just for documentation purposes- Carolina Panthers miss a PAT and trail 24-13 in the 3rd quarter. They score a touchdown and predictably make the stupid choice to attempt 2-pt conversion. They failed and trail 24-19 now.

And they doubled-down when they scored another 3rd quarter TD, and failed again. A couple of kicks and it's 27-24, but instead it's 25-24 in the 3rd. Stupid.

Lol and even more predictably, Riverboat-dumbass-Ron doubles down and goes for 2 again after Panthers score. Keep chasing that 1-pt! Still 3rd quarter. Now only a 25-24 lead.

Hmm, what's the score if they take points...?

Panthers score again - big second half turnaround by them - and kick the XP. But it's only an 8 point lead - one score - because of prior stupidity.

The way they've dominated the second half it may not matter, but still...

Well would you look at that. The Raiders score, and a two pointer ties it in the 4th quarter because Carolina opened the door.

Atlanta scores to cut the deficit vs Kansas City to 27-22, and they go for two. Wouldn't exactly call it stupid since it was early in the 4th, but they failed.

They score again to make it 28-27, go for two again, and KC picks off the pass. The 100 yard return put the Chiefs back in front, 29-28. :lol:

Watching the Falcons and Chiefs, and holy shit. Falcons score a Td to make it 22-27. They go for it and miss the 2 point conversion. They score another TD to make it 28-27. They go for 2 and Eric Berry picks it off and goes the distance to give the Chiefs the 2 points. They are trailing 28-29.

Edit- Of course Jake beats me to the punch. :lol:
