Yes for OSU not going to a top bowl seems like a down year, but let's put this year into perspective. I think the youth of this team made this a likely two loss team. And I doubt we'd be in a BCS bowl with two losses, even if we beat michigan. We'd have a good shot at that 5th BCS bowl that is coming.

2001 burned up so many redshirts, so many players left last year, and our only consistent star was a kicker. As the season progressed this changed, but I do not think it is fair to expect the same thing out of every year.

Would I rather OSU be 9-2 or better? Sure. But I'd rather have a 7-4 team that has shown a lot of character since losing 3 tough games in a row (with a different depth chart) that has shown some exciting flashes and finally exploded against archrival UM.

Also, most years we do not have this much to look forward to the following year. I Nugent will be missed as will Fraser and the rest, but this team could be downright scary next year.

I guess I'd rather take a team like this where I was insanely proud of the effort and execution by the players and the coaching by the staff. We outdid ourselves on every level against UM. We're a much better team than 7-4, but we clearly were overachievers last saturday. I think we have the potential to continue to do that, but our players had to grow up before that was possible. I think they have done so, and 2005 looks mighty promising.

Definately po'ed about losses to NW and Purdue, both games the Bucks gave up when it counted. A Scum thrashing makes up for it. Tressel is the man and he has Carr's number. I was always a fan of Coop, but in the end he couldn't win the Big One. I think things look good for the Bucks in the next few years. Remember Tressels first season? not exactly one I am sure he wants to. Ginn is in incredable, Smith proved his worth, Hawk will be back, Pittman is young promising TB. It can only get better.

Go Bucks!!
