I've Got Laurinaitis!
I am playing football next year at my high school, I am going to be a senior. I am currently 6'0 and 190 pounds. Except I still have some stomach fat I would like to lose. I am not having a tough time gaining muscle, but the fat just won't go away, even if I run everyday. Does anyone have any suggestions or anything? It would be greatly appreciated.

it's really quite easy. almost all weight loss boils down to this: if calories burned are greater than calories consumed, weight will be lost. though genetics (ectomorph, mesomorph, endomorph) certainly plays a part, even the person with most active lifestyle and metabolism will gain weight if he or she consumes more calories than those expended. there's no magic way to lose weight.

I mean it is not like huge or anything, just enough so you can't see any abs or anything.
Seriously - you are a football player, not a body builder. And at 6-foot, 190-pounds, you aren't exactly fat. Unless that little bit of extra weight is affecting your performance somehow, don't worry about it - not everyone is going to have that washboard stomach. You'd be surprised at how out-of-shape some very good football players look. If your overall strength and conditioning is good, then you'll be just fine.

Stop drinking all soda. Stop over eating carbs like pizza, cookies.
And drink plenty of water.
Also, sports drinks have huge amounts of salt. If your not working out hard, don't drink them!

That is the thing, I haven't had pop in 4 months, I don't eat pizza, I don't eat cookies, and I pretty much only drink water.

As mentioned above genetics plays a part. In my triathlon training class there are more than a few members--both male and female--who have a suprising amount of body fat despite do a ton of cardio (biking, running, swimming). And then you'll see people who don't do shit for exercise, eat whatever they want, and still are very lean. Ain't shit you can do about it.

Bottom line is don't fret it...you can be fast, strong, and in great shape without looking like Vernon Gholston.
