I'm not quite certain why you feel that way. Unless you see JO as more of a replacement for 'Sheed, but with less of an outside shot and less defense. He certainly doesn't come any where near the intangibles that Perkins presents.

All Boston needs is someone to fill in for Perkins and also help with a little more size on the bench. JO has no defense, but can score some points and help clog up the lane.

They must be planning to utilize Wade A LOT at the PG position. Which isn't a bad call when Mario Chalmers is all you have thereand LeBron at the SF. Makes getting everyone touches a lot easier. I doubt Wade starts at point, but I'd be willing to bet he see's at least half his minutes from the PG position.

With exception to the 2g, the Cavs roster is solid and easily capable of making the playoffs.

PG - Mo is a capable scorer and will need to bring the same game he had in Milwuakee that helped him average about 24 a game

SG - Don't think Anthony Parker is a starting 2g. Especially with nobody to draw defenses like LeBron did

SF - Antawn Jamison is solid here. Wish he were a 6th man, but this is the way it broke. Good outside shot, good mid-range game. Much better defender from the 3 position than the 4...thanks Mike Brown!!!

PF - JJ Hickson will have a breakout season and might be our best player by the end of the season. Enough said.

Anderson Vareajo - Finally gets the center position to himself. Solid defender, and huge activity guy. I'd still take him over Noah. Anderson just never got the minutes to show it. Anderson needs to bring the heart to this team.

This starting 5 is more than favorable compared to most teams in the East. Is it capabale of doing any damage in the playoffs? Not a chance in hell.

Looking at remaining free-agents, I hope they don't give out a shitty contract just to fill a hole. That's the last thing they need to do. Sit on the money and come up with a great future plan beginning with the draft.

Hornets land Ariza in four-team trade - NBA - Yahoo! Sports
The New Orleans Hornets acquired Trevor Ariza(notes) Wednesday in a four-team, five-player trade that also sends point guard Darren Collison(notes) to the Indiana Pacers, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
The deal also sends Pacers forward Troy Murphy(notes) to the New Jersey Nets and Nets guard Courtney Lee(notes) to the Houston Rockets. In addition to landing Collison ? the young point guard they?ve been searching for all offseason ? the Pacers also have to take on forward James Posey(notes), who has two years and $13.5 million remaining on his contract.

The Rockets signed Ariza to a five-year, $35 million contract a year ago, but have since acquired guard Kevin Martin(notes). Trading him should keep them from paying a substantial luxury-tax bill this season.
After failing to include point guard T.J. Ford in the trade, the Pacers are discussing a buyout with Ford?s agent on the $8.5 million still owed him in the final year of his contract, sources said. The Pacers also are continuing to explore trade opportunities with Ford.
ESPN.com first reported the proposed trade.

my thoughts are that the pacers are getting their PG for the future who will work very well next to Granger...but i feel bad for the New Orleans Hornets...they are doing the exact same thing that the cavs tried to do for Lebron and in the end we all know how this story ends

Further proof of what a bunch of whiny punk bitches that draft class of 2003 has turned out to be. Looks like Carmelo isn't getting enough attention...

Anthony, Nuggets look ready to part ways - NBA - Yahoo! Sports

These aau-bred street punks (Melo, Bosh, Wade and Mrs. Wade) along with vultures like Maverick Carter and "World Wide" Wes have absolutely destroyed the nba. :shake: I've already said I'm done watching the nba and hope many others follow. I know it will remain popular with 18-25 year olds, I just hope older people can see what a scam that league has become.
