Harrison stepped up in a big way. He solidified a secondary that finished the season without the other three players that started in the first game. Two interceptions, held a player up so the ball could be stripped on the fumble and he had a sack. I thought Branch played well but Harrison winning would've been poetic justice after having to listen to all the hype that Freddie Mitchell started these past two weeks.

Note on the MVP balloting.

Something like 15 or 16 media members vote on the MVP, and then the public votes count for 4 more votes. I think this year the public votes were via text msg only and cost $.99 each. They also decided to count international voters since they have a vast knowledge of football. Another stupid thing about this system is the public receives 4 votes which are not split. The player with the majority of votes receives all 4. Brady won his first MVP in 02' over Ty Law because of the public voting even though he received less than 30% of the public votes.

That game was horrible. I'm glad the Pats won though, and I'm happy for Mike Vrabel.

The halftime show was decent. It was definitely better than the regular MTV crap. They should've got U2 though. They can rock a stadium, and they're more relevant right now.

Best Commercial: FedEx-Kinko's. You simply can't beat Burt Reynolds getting kicked in the nuts by a bear. It's impossible.

Pinkston going to the lockeroom for an IV in the third quarter told me these gutless wonders were done. Way to represent the NFC. Maybe that's why their superbowl trophy case remains:

Harrison got robbed, just like Vrabel did last year. When's the last time a defensive player won the MVP? Brown? That MVP should've been given to the guy that payed O'Donnell off.

Best commercial(s): all of the career builder commercials. I mean whoopie cushions, and a chimp kissing his boss's ass is just hilarious.

Harrison was awesome but Branch was THE MAN...
Harrison did have two int's but really, they were basically ducks...
Branch drove a stake right in their heart... every time the Eagles seemed to be coming back to life..

I didn't care who won... but like most I suspected the Pats... I was excited that Vrabel had a day... but then, in the 2nd half, I wanted the Eagles to pull it out... I love underdogs... as a Browns fan.. I can appreciate frustration... so for the many many Eagles fans out here, I wanted them to have their day in the sun... 3 titles are too many.. unless its OSU, then it's different...

I hate TO... but my hat is off to the man... I have no idea how he did what he did... guess that's why he is a star in the NFL... that took guts... I still hate him... but now I respect him...

The group hug with Belichick, Weiss and Crennel is one for the ages...
