I know of a person who plays professional baseball. So, I'm going to ask this in the baseball forum. Has anyone heard of vitamin B-12 shots given in the rump on an off-day? Makes the player sore, so the thinking is that he can rest it off for the next game. This is a relief pitcher...you never know when you'll get in. Any input is appreciated. Just wondering about common practices and whether a shot of B-12 is supposed to help someone for a period greater than 24 hours, or what.
I am aware that B-12 is a substance that is best taken by a method other than orally because of its propensity to get destroyed in the stomach.
