TE Cade Stover (Houston Texans)

“You know C.J. He’s the most talented guy I think I’ve ever seen with the football in his hands,” Stover said. “Knowing that and having the confidence in him to do what he’s going to do like we’ve all seen before, that’s huge. I don’t know if he’s sleeps better at night because of that, but we love having him back there.”

Props to Cade last night…..a few guys really stepped up (mostly on defense) but Cade was solid entire night.

In face of injuries at WR he seemed to become a bit of security blanket for CJ but as always, he was great in the run game as a blocker as well.

Didn’t go for much, but his one handed catch was pretty nasty too…

Kid is just a football player….love his effort.

Against Arkansas State, Cade was "targeted" for 2 passes. He caught both of them; 35 yards and 15 yards.

Day says the Buckeyes are trying to get Cade Stover more involved in the passing game, and says Mitch Rossi and Gee Scott Jr. "deserve to be a part of the offense."

Day says Cade Stover's "heart was on defense" but realized his "ceiling is at tight end."

Cade is in his fourth season with the program and has three seasons of eligibility remaining, including 2022. Played in four games as a true freshman for the Buckeyes in 2019 and redshirted. Has moved from defensive end to linebacker, and then back and forth between linebacker and tight end, and will line up as a tight end in 2022

He was in the 2019 recruiting class and is technically a Senior; however, you really have to wonder just how high his "ceiling" is if he comes back for 2 more years (experience at the TE position).
