I’m kinda surprised that they feel the depth is there at DE to move him to TE>.... I hope he gets some touches.. along with Ruckert

Major surprise here. Maybe Wilson is planning on using the TE more (I know, I know) and Stover fits the bill of what he is looking for. Definitely athletic and would have a nasty streak as a blocker. As the saying goes, trust the coaches.

Wonder if Coach Mick isn’t an influence somewhat. He’s been in the program long enough that maybe they have determined the Sam Hubbard path isn’t possible because he body isn’t developing the same way? If that’s the case I’d think he would go back to LB but what do I know.
Point is....maybe he’s such a tweener that the best chance of success lies at TE.

His frame won’t allow him to play LB anymore, IMO. I’d also assume he’s really raw at DE and would take some time to learn the intricacies.
TE allows him to use his athleticism and physicality. He was always a good offensive player too.

If we actually used our TE I would be all for that. And Ruckert is still young and he's the closest thing I believe we've had to a superstar TE when it comes to receiving. Definitely trust the coaches of course but I do find it very odd and wouldn't be surprised if it's a move that doesn't stick permanently.
