First of all, to me it doesnt matter why he was at the bar, I think 10 on 1 or anything other than 1 on 1 is not right, I dont agree with going to a bar and starting a fight or looking for trouble, but I think 10-15 Marshall players on 1 guy is ridiculous and very wrong, Arden is probably lucking he wasnt hurt worse and if we switched it around 10-15 OSU players against 1 Marshall player, I would feel the same way, they deserve whatever punishment that comes down.

As if 10-1 isn't bad enough...if there is any truth to these reports that he was kicked while down on the ground, it's complete horseshit. I agree Arden probably shouldn't have been there at that time, but it surely appears that he was jumped unfairly. I don't care what the situation is, 10-1 (or worse) is just a bunch of thugs pounding their chests.

I'm a little confused as to all this "Arden Shouldnt' have been there" talk.

I beleive this is a free country.... He can go to whatever bar he wants. (All this 'ticket to get in stuff is a little unbeleiveable... not completely... but the only way that happened is if the Marshall Players rented the bar... and then I would wonder who paid for the beer vs. who was drinking it...)

Anyway... if the argument is that Arden shouldn't even have been in the bar due to his past alcohol related indiscretions... the same would have to go for Stan Hill. (If indeed he was involved in the instigation... which I only surmise from the conjecture of others.)

This our turf, their turf thing is pretty childish.

A couple interesting things from the O-Zone today...
First, Arden wasn't expected to play this year due to a shoulder injury. He was scheduled to have surgery at some point during the season. Arden had been excused from team functions due to the scheduled procedure. This info is from Andy Geiger. (link: http://www.the-ozone.net)

BucNat27: How in the hell did you ever think that one up. I can't stop laughing. but ya know its not too far from what could be. You just never know I guess. Hair brained schemes like that aren't too far from the norm. Oh well. :biggrin: :biggrin:

Arden is the Ohio State hitman. Give him a beer and he'll take out the whole starting defensive line at Marshall. Man, if he could have gotten Martin suspended we'd be in business. Martin is a badass defensive end for Marshall, he'll be the best player that Marshall brings to Ohio Stadium.
