TE Marcel Frost (official thread)

Marcel Frost has helped this offense the last two weeks on a few levels. He gives a different blocking look and he has great hands. He makes the catch and accelerates quickly. The knock on him right now is for someone for his size, he should drop his shoulder and steamroll those safeties. He could make some great runs after catch if he just took the little guys on and flattened them.

Frost is improving and is a good blocker. He seems to come out of his stance faster than Hamby did or even Hartsock. And he seems to have better lower body strength and drives DE's and Linebackers back very well.

Lower body? how about upperbody? He is just huge, I'm sure once he gets moving he looks like a bus coming to some of those db's. He could be scary good next year

Per the Ozone......

Another player who had some clutch catches in the game is Buckeye tight end Marcel Frost.
Frost has been pressed into action with the injury to senior Ryan Hamby and has thus far made the most of his opportunity.

"I tried to stay prepared for it. You never know. It's a long season. We got some injuries and I had to step in. I try hard to always be prepared and ready," said Frost

"It seems the coaches are getting more confident in me too so it feels great.

"Every time I see the ball coming at me my eyes get wide. I just t try to catch the ball and get up field and do what I do," Frost said.

I think if Hamby comes back healthy you'll see hamby most of the time. But if Hamby doesn't get healthy Frost is the man at TE. He did have a good game Saturday. 2 catches 17 yards a piece and one of those was a 3rd down play that got a BIG first down! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK MARCEL!

personally as a passing threat TE i love frost over the other TE's right now. he seems to have surer hands and more speed and agility to work with. i could see us use him as a real weapon if need be. however i didnt pay much attention to his blocking at the LOS so i cant say for sure. anybody see how well he was blocking?
