TE Marcel Frost (official thread)

lest we need a reminder...

With Mo C back on the front page, the coaching staff can't lose sight of the importance of CHARACTER when recruiting. I don't know that Frost was not of good character, and a team of "Rudy's" won't win a Nat Championship, but we need more of the Stan White, Jr kind of guy and a lot less Clarett types, 5 Star or not.

I hope Frost is okay, and even if an OSU career is not in the cards that he get headed down the right path.

Go Bucks!

TE is a very tough position for a true freshman

to contribute right away. You really have to be special to do it, and even then its probably as a receiver, most freshman TE's don't have the moxie right away to be a good blocker.

Perhaps this might mean an increased role for Stan White? In his H-Back position he can easily shift out to do some blocking and go out for a pass here and there.

JT was just talking a couple days ago about using 2 TE's and a single FB in the backfield, in order to keep the defenses off balance. This might put a crimp in some of those plans.

Man, what does one do to warrant a one year suspension? I mean a DUI will only get you a game or two.

Another OSU tight end with a world of potential wasting a huge opportunity.

I hope Rory can take advantage of the opportunity.

Many residents of JT's doghouse have left the program recently... Haw, Maupin, Cotton, EJ Underwood and possibly Welch/BUnderwood in the near future.

Merely speculating, but if he was already on JT's bad side... it might not take much for JT to put his foot down.
My first thought was 'roids, but we shall see. What a shame.
if so, he's not getting very big... recent pic:

Now we see the infraction...

Showboating. He got what he deserves.
