Not a big deal at all. This is almost laughable. Im almost disgusted law enforcement wastes taxpayers money looking for and prosecuting these cases. When I heard he got in "trouble", I was scared it was something serious. 85 % (probably higher) of college students could get cited for this offense every weekend.....If it wasn't for Urban being attacked by the media for this Hernandez situation, I'd say Baugh would get a lecture, some community service, and maybe have to sit out a half of a game. But because of the microscope Urban is under currently, Baugh might get suspended a game or two. This is definitely not dismissal or severe punishment worthy. Although, Marcus does need to be more smart with his decisions and realize a microscope is on him and the program now.

I'm not hugely upset with the kid for his underage consumption, but so long as the laws are on the books, they ought to be enforced IMO.

Bingo. I think the current climate will play into the punishment...I'm likely overshooting the runway with the redshirt, but I would not be shocked if it did happen. However, he is a special talent that can likely contribute this year. Bad timing...and especially the wrong position.

?urious why you think it is the wrong position? Would be the wrong position if it was a linebacker, but Tight End. We already have two studs there in my opinion.

Grad may correct me if I am wrong, but I believe he meant Marcus would already be fighting an uphill battle for PT this year...which is actually what I was about to say. Obviously Vannett and Heureman are special, but I also liked what I saw from Blake Thomas in the spring game.

Personally I think Marcus is a great talent and has massive upside, but I also think a redshirt might have been in the cards either way (imo he needs some weight redistribution and conditioning with Mick for a year). Put it like this...I am glad this happened early because I don't think we were going to see his talents are a year away from being utilized anyways.

The 'wrong position' comment was nothing more than a nod to the coincidental Hernandez BS already brewing.

Baugh is a special talent from all reports...however, there is already a witch-hunt underway and the TE position is a part of that hunt.
