Texas Longhorns (big hat, no cattle; please don’t Horns Down us)

And Reggie Bush didn't win the 05' Heismand and OSU didn't win the 2011' Sugar Bowl.

You can try to erase history... but it's best to just LEARN from it.

Nobody is erasing history. Nobody is scrubbing the history books. A statue or song or base name isn't history. It's a celebration, and if it's a celebration of an evil, treasonous history to tear it down is not to erase that history. It's to recognize that it's a celebration of evil. The history will still be there to learn from after the celebration has rightly been removed.

Many of you seem to think you need to spout off your opinions anywhere you damn well please.

if you don’t like it, fuck off and find another board

we have tolerated this far too long

stop it or get banned

I will not discuss this with anyone but a fellow moderator

See your point and honestly I don't care either way...

They could easily serve as a reminder though of where we came from.

Joe Jamail, a renowned attorney, passed away in 2015. His name has been on the field since 1997, shortly after he gave yet another multi-million gift to the football program. The first game played on Joe Jamail Field, Texas lost to UCLA 66-3. Jamail’s response?

“How much f***ing money does it take to get my name off the field?”
