Sanctimonious pricks. I sincerely hope that last year gave them just enough of a taste to think their perpetually underachieving program might be turning a corner only to have it all crash down on them this year. With everything they've been given, no school--academically or athletically--underachieves more than that place.

Spot on... enormous state, big time recruiting base, they spend more than just about everyone, take "everything is bigger in Texas" to a new level, and they're not a top tier school.

I see the major difference between them and scUM/Pedsters, is that literally all of the scUM/Pedsters are rabid and egotistical. I married a lifelong Pedster(from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, PA) fan, and thankfully was able to convert her to being a Buckeye, but her family is insanely loyal to Ped St, and worships JoePa. And I see scUM fan base still worshipping Bo, to the fact that they're willing to deal with Hairball and his antics because he played for Bo, and they're fan base will forever be indebted to Bo.
Darrell Royal is worshiped, but not like the other 2 in the eyes of the younger fan base.

tsun, Penn State, ND and Texas fans all share the highly unlikable traits of unfounded arrogance and moral hypocrisy.

Details differ slightly for each team but essentially they are better people than you and a couple of hand picked events from a bygone age or outliers from large samples of mediocrity prove it to be so. Anyone who has more success had to cheat to do so.

I believe that I posted generally about the generic insufferable downy bearded 30ish front men (Chevy guy being the archetype) in commercials on the commercials that annoy you thread a while back.

Jesus amen... Every time I'm in Austin I think to myself, "damn, this is some shitty traffic." Mind you, I'm from Chicago.

Sadly, Austin ain't what made it great anymore... and that's not a knock... it's just how things go when everybody else catches on.
