The 2020 College Football Season

As for playing the games just for television, how morally reprehensible is that. If the virus is still at a point where it's deemed unsafe to sit in a stadium, how safe is it for offensive and defensive lineman to be lined up across from each other breathing heavily?

At that point, call them what they would be: gladiators whose lives mean nothing and are willingly sacrificed for the entertainment of the masses. Bread and Circuses, indeed.

I'd imagine all the players and other persons present in the stadium would first be tested to confirm they're negative for COVID-19, but don't let me interrupt your indignant rant.

You would have to test continually just because your negative one week doesn’t mean in 2 weeks you wouldn’t be positive. Playing in Columbus a helluva lot more dangerous than playing in Lincoln.

It's probably a better argument for pro... where a staff of 100/team could do an entire game, get tested every week (like porn stars!), and live in quarantined lockdown with catered food, dedicated hotel, etc
Pro players getting tests at a time where even filthy politicians couldnt... it's just a different level of care.

I also take it for granted that laws come into this. Some States will take longer than others to roll back and allow large events again.
But they always listen to revenue in a case like this.

But it's a fair point that this isnt a valid ask for College kids already being scammed as 'amateurs.'

107,000 fans maintaining social distance and masked up, getting swabbed and test results rolled out before entering the stadium. Only chance is to rename the place, Ohio Stadium becomes Ohio Solid Rock Cathedral and Buckeye football is declared as the state religion. I know I belong to that church and in that Cathedral..
