The Basketball Tournament (Carmen's Crew = 2019 Champions)

If anybody wants to dissect that bracket and tell me a better team to support other than the OSU team.......let me know. I have a feeling we'll be sticking with the former Buckeyes for our hopes of winning some cash for BP, though. Deadline to switch teams with no penalty is the end of this month.

Talor Battle? Really?

https://theozone.net/2018/07/oden-sullinger-join-team-scarlet-gray-basketball-tournament/

Sullinger and Oden join former Buckeyes Aaron Craft, David Lighty, Jon Diebler, Byron Mullens and William Buford on Team Scarlet & Gray’s roster. Former Buckeye and current Portland Trailblazer Evan Turner will be an assistant coach.

While the team is mostly comprised of former Buckeye basketball players from the last six years, Penn said other former Columbus and Big 10 stars will be part of the roster.
  • Leon Rodgers graduated from Eastmoor Academy in Columbus and played at Northern Illinois. The 6’5 small forward played in the NBA with the Memphis Grizzlies and overseas in Germany, France, Holland, Ukraine, China, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela.
  • Talor Battle competed against Ohio State while leading Penn State to an NIT title and NCAA Tournament bid. The 6’0 guard recently retired from international competition.
“We have an unparalleled mix of size, speed and shooting,” Penn said. “We can’t wait to reunite in front of our Columbus fans for a chance at that $2 million prize.”

Well, I said repeatedly lack of PG cost these guys a big pay day last year. Not the expected solution but Battle is a baller.

This team should win.
No way this team should lose with the following roster

Scarlet & Gray announced on Monday through a release from OSU's athletic department that Oden and Jared Sullinger have joined the team. The rest of the roster includes former Buckeyes Aaron Craft, Job Diebler, David Lighty, William Buford and Byron Mullens; and former Penn State guard Talor Battle.

The schedule for this thing is so weird. The South and West brackets are already in the Sweet 16. The Northeast and Midwest brackets have played 3 games....all in the same "pod".

Scarlet & Gray finds out who they play this Friday (7/20), then they take the court Saturday. The 16/17 matchup on Friday is on ESPN3 at 7:50, the S&G game will be on ESPN at 4:00 on Saturday.
