THE Best Fans (In the Land)

Defense still wins Championships
"Our fans will go anywhere. Our fans would go to Africa if that's where we were playing." -- OSU senior receiver Bam Childress.
YEAH! this was from an OZone article talking about how the N'western game will be sold out, mostly with OSU fans. glad to know the guys know that they aren't the only ones there.

Back in 1997, My wife and I went to Indiana for our first away game to play Indiana. We were undefeated and a lock in a big Bowl if we beat them. Well the stadium was pretty full and I swear way more than half were OSU fans. We drowned out the Indiana fans all night long. They played us pretty dag good. IN the end though we got a fumble in the last seconds and the crowd went insane .

My Mother-in-Law went to that years GREAT Rose Bowl game and she said that the stadium was full of a Sea of reds OSU fans. We all know how that classic turned out !!! Joe Germaine to David Boston ... TOUCHDOWN !! I'll never forget that. Isn't it great to be a Buckeye !?!

i was at that indiana game and helped rip down their one goalpost and moved towards the second one before the cops and the indiana team came back on the field for their best goal line stand in the past 20 years.
BIATCHa.....I must have been right next to you.....I was on that goalpost as well. Im sure its happened before.....but who can say that our fans invaded another stadium, went field bound, and then TORE DOWN their goalposts?!?! BIATCHa....do you remember once the first one was down the IU team tried to defend the other goalpost?? That was a pretty wild day.

I work with a guy who went to and worked at IU. He says that they have the stadium photographed when OSU plays there.

They know the stadium will be filled and it will be a sea of red.

:oh: :io:
 If only the Big Ten would let then put hoops on the uprights and hardwood in the endzones... Then they'd be in business!

For those of us that had the pleasure to be a the NC game in '02, the O-H-I-O chant pre game was absolutly insane. The Miami bitches were on the field streching out and they freaked because it was so loud. It was the shoe south. The were looking around bug eyed, and you could tell they were thinking to themselves what the fuck is this???? No shit, they absolutly freaked. It was a beauty thing to behold.

I went to the away game at Illinois in 2002. That was a pretty awesome experience. One crazy thing was that was the cheapest game I went to all season, counting gas and food - and I lived on 13th Ave. that year! Buckeye fans were pretty vocal in Champaign too. Stupid Illini fans kept telling us to sit down, and complained that we were too loud and rowdy. The people that sat behind me and my friend actually tapped on my shoulder and complained to me that they had come in from out of town and that I was ruining their gameday experience. HELLO?! I was from out of town too, and I was there to be loud. I remember seeing nothing but Ohio plates all the way between Indy and Champaign, and the McDonalds we went to after the game had exactly 5 people from Illinios in it, and they were all working there. Buckeye fans rule!

I've been to a game in every stadium in the Big Ten, and probably 5 or 6 of them for Buckeye games. Buckeye fans are awesome- Bam's right, we will go anywhere, and in force!

That was incredible. If you closed your eyes, you'd have thought you were sitting in The 'Shoe. Prior to the game we downed a few beers at the Varsity Club west, so we felt right at home.
