I Heart Boobs
I really enjoyed last night's game. Was nice to see the Bucks get yet another Bowl win. Was nice to do it in style. But the thing that I really enjoyed, was showing how weak the Big 12 really is. Oklahoma went to the WIRE against Okie state this year. I realize that they are rivals, but I have been saying all year that it's a crying shame if Okie gets into the NC game, and Auburn gets left out. Think this just proved it more. I honestly dont see SC being that much better, because the Pac 10 is weak as well. Auburn would beat both of them.

Thoughts?

Didn't USC already beat VaTech opening game this year?

They sure did, in a neutral venue, but heavily populated VaTech crowd in DC.

I think the first half of the USC - OU game is close, and then USC starts to make it a blow-out mid to late 3rd quarter. I don't know that Auburn could do much to stop USC's offense, and I guess no one will ever know.

good point, 27....I agree

Auburn won the frickin' SEC and is undefeated.....beat Tennessee soundly twice....

and gets left out of the championship game?

Oklahoma and USC are the beneficiaries of massive media schmoozing campaigns that build up the Big12 and USC's offensive system as the greatest of all time

hell, just 13 months ago they were calling Oklahoma as possibly the best team EVER.....

it will apparently take Ohio State facing USC or Oklahoma for all the marbles and dismantling them similar to the way we did KSU last year before the masses may begrudgingly hand some credit to the Buckeyes

the system is so flawed as ESPN has a near monopoly on the promotion campaigns and coaches rarely watch all top25 teams and still vote for rankings

I think Cal's snub is far worse than Oklahoma getting the nod over Auburn.

I would agree that Auburn and USC are probably the best 2 teams in the country this year, but Cal deserves the Rose Bowl a lot more than Mack Cooper's team

One more time - Auburn was ranked third in EVERY computer poll that is a part of the BCS formula. That ranking in every computer poll had nothing to do with media impressions or preseason ranking. Their non-conference schedule killed them.

And that happening is good for college football, as long as the college presidents keep us from a playoff. Teams will realize that you can't just schedule patsies and try to go undefeated.

Calling the Big 12 weak b/c OU almost got beat by us? PLEASE! It is a rivaly game and anything can happen. Ok State has almost beat Oklahoma every year the last 8 to 10 years. And we almost beat them in 2000 when they won the National Championship year...

But, yes, the Big 12 is weak for the most part, but how do you say it is weak b/c of that game?

I think Auburn should have gone instead of Oklahoma too though...

I picked every Big 12 team to lose except us(Ok STate) this year, but so far we have faired well. Iowa State won, Colorado won, and Texas Tech is winning against Cal.
