The called back TD dictated our qb results.....

Up until the td from zwick to Bam was called back, Zwick looked fantastic. He had only thrown 1 duck and the td to Bam was underthrown but easily completed because he was so wide open.

As soon as that play was replayed, Zwick was stripped from behind and he was shook up from that point on. He dropped the ball 3 more times and threw a floppy pic followed by a pick thrown into coverage.

I think that had the Bam td stood as good, Zwick would of played more confident and had a better day all together.

What we have to do now is figure out if Zwick's composure effected his ball handling or if it's a mechanics or a small hand issue. We can't have those passes against better db's. They will play catch with that stuff.

Smith got a fair amount of snaps and if the game was closer, he would of been able to throw more. JT wasn't going to run the score up on Dantonio.

14-26, 213 yards and two TD's in a 27-6 victory

A kid that hasn't played in two years and you make it sound as if he really struggled.
I'm sorry but I think you are ridiculous. (I'm being nice)

So because somebody has a different take than you he's ridiculous. :shake: I can't see any part of ant's analysis that was off. It's not like he's saying Zwick had a bad game. But just to make sure that nobody's being ridiculous how about you just post what we're all supposed to think and then we'll all do that.

Thanx kent ! Did ashland even read my post.

It sounds as if he thinks 3 or fumbles, 9 floppy passes and 2 picks will cut it for the rest of the season. Maybe JT should just tell Zwick that he did everything perfect and let NC state smash us.

ashland, do you not think that Zwick needs to correct his handling of the ball before we play a tougher defense ? What is your logic ?

Actually, he did struggle after the first couple series, but that's not to say he played badly...he's going to be a very good QB. I was also impressed with Smith, who struggled early but played well later (the exact opposite of Zwick). I think a pseudo-2QB system will work this year.

My logic is that you are nit picking at a kid that hasn't played in two years.
You and I don't know if the exchanges between he and Mangold were directly his fault.
As I said, He was 14-26 and should've had three TD's.
Your focus is not on the things he did well but on the things he apperantly did not do well.
I'd rather focus on his positives. He threw the ball with quite a bit of accuracy. He did a great job of looking around and finding the secondary receiver.
He played well and both of your post have a sense of the negative, rather than the positive.

He definitely suffreed from the jitters. Did you SEE him shaking on the first play? He worked through it and put up a pretty solid performance.

2 picks? I'd attribute 1.5 to bad luck.
Couple ducks? that'll improve.

I'm much encouraged by his accuracy (with a few exceptions) and ability of BOTH QB's to hit a speedster deep and (almost) in stride. That's a play that CK rarely made, and something refreshing to see from our Bucks once again.

This was all done against a veteran defense. I'll reserve judgement until after the NCSt game, but I think we're sitting pretty just now. The key, in my mind, is the improvement from Week 1 to week 2. Let's see if JZ corrects those mistakes he made, calms down, and just runs the offense.

What, I can't have an opinion of any other person's post now?

I never suggested that everybody should think as I do. I merely pointed out that his post is ridiculous for its nit picking.

He was being ridiculous. You are just an ass.
