The Effects of Negativity

Amazing how two games will turn Brutus on Ceasar.

I am writing this because I want to have everyone consider what they post a little more before clicking "Submit". So far I have been impressed with the relatively (to Bucknuts) calm way most of you have responded to a couple uncharacteristic Buckeye games.

Unfortunately I still feel a need remind everyone that recruits do read this board and that unconstructive, negative comments can effect the perception of the team, the coach or the fans. We all know that this is a world class university and program. Just several weeks ago on ESPN we were voted (by fans) the number one overall football program.

The internet is wonderful because of how easy it is to have your voice and opinions heard. With this freedom, comes great responsibility. If you would like to criticize the program, do so in a way that is constructive and reflects the class that our fans are known to exhibit. Bad-mouthing anyone involved with the program cannot undo either loss and can only hurt us in the eyes of potential Buckeyes.

This board is a great representation of the passion for football Ohioans have...Clarity has set this up so that we police ourselves. Do your part to keep talk constructive and the board flamer-free!

    Thanks for your time,

    on the negativity

I agree so much. So many buck fans and not so much class in what they are saying as of late. Thank you oilerbuck for having made a great point and for being a true buckeye fan.
