The Game: ttun at tOSU, Dec. 12 (cancelled by cowardly Vulvarines)

This game will be:
  1. The latest regular season game Ohio State has ever played.
  2. The latest B1G game Ohio State has ever played, including B1G Championship Games.
  3. The ONLY Home Game Ohio State has ever played in the month of December. This applies to Ohio Stadium and its predecessor, Ohio Field.

The Game moved back where it belongs
The most important game on the Ohio State schedule is back where it belongs.

The Buckeyes will host rival Michigan on Dec. 12, the first time in The Game’s history that it will be played in December. But that’s when this game should be played — at the end of the schedule. The second version, the one that was released in August and featured 10 conference games, had the Buckeyes hosting the Wolverines on Oct. 24. That just didn’t feel right.

Neither does having Ohio State and Michigan square off in December, but if that’s when the last week of the regular season is, then that’s when the two rivals should meet. And it will certainly make for a nice season-ending Big Noon Kickoff on FOX.

MICHIGAN

If you need a reason to hate Michigan, you're probably lost.

But if that hate needs emboldened after the longest offseason any of us have ever experienced, let's flash back to a hilarious moment from this past March.

Most of us in Ohio had just begun to shelter in place as orders from the Governor came down in an effort to slow down the spread of COVID-19. So too were our neighbors to the north. With spring camp halted, coaches and players were sent home with orders to watch and diagnose film, workout and stay as engaged as possible.

Wolverines offensive coordinator Josh Gattis got a little carried away in his efforts. While watching a replay of Ohio State's 56-27 depantsing of his team, he recorded a clip of a rare Michigan highlight and posted this amazing tweet.

Imagine if Day had tweeted out a video clip of Johnnie Dixon's touchdown against Purdue in 2018 (which cut the Boilermakers lead to only 15) with a comment as bizarre as this.

Our dear rivals remain so painfully out of touch.

Keep hating, y'all. It's almost time.

RAMZY: BEWARE THE WOLVERINES

Michigan is going to be a legitimate pain in the ass this season because it has finally been knocked far enough off of the arrogance perch that has kept its self-defeating culture weaponized for the better part of the millennium. No one is going out of their way to overrate them in 2020. COVID has humbled everyone to a degree, which only benefits the B1G program in most need of humbling, And there’s no anointed savior on the roster; just a bunch of guys accustomed to winning the least when it matters the most.

They remind me of Brian Griese’s 1997 Wolverines, minus - and it’s a sizable minus - Charles Woodson. They’ll give everyone their best shot and for the first time in forever, without that entitlement chip that’s predictably and consistently knocked them back to earth.
