And then got better to a 60% clip his junior year. I don't know his completion % from his senior season but I'd be inclined to believe it improved. Or is 60% not good enough for you?

You're comparing passing stats of a kid who is already at Michigan to a kid who is just entering his senior year in high school, and who is a completely different style of QB. Completion percentage isn't necessarily the best measure of quarterback effectiveness.

Some of you Michigan fans sound like you did three years ago when Henne first set foot on campus. I don't think we need to remind you how your all-world pro-style drop-back passer fared in his three games against our mobile quarterback...

I'm just saying that Mallett is a more accurate QB even when he was at the same stage as Pryor, that's all.

I'm not expecting 4 NCs from Mallett and 4 Heismans like others expect from their hotshot recruits *cough ND fans *cough but I do expect him to be a very good quarterback for Michigan, just like I expect Pryor to do well as well.

And as for Henne, he's never played against Ohio State    There's a 3 year span where we didn't play OSU :wink::wink:

The point of this thread was to poke fun at the frequent, off-topic, mallett man-crushes that surface throughout the recruiting forum (as LJB explained). Most of these posts are no longer visible b/c they were moved to the holding cell.

If you really want a true debate on this topic, the TSUN News thread would be a good one. You seem like a reasonable fan, so hopefully you won't take this the wrong way.

The worship of Mallett isn't much different, it's just isolated to the UM fanbase (vs national media) and doesn't involve self-promotion (vs limo boy).

I gotcha. Thanks for the explanation.

Anyway, Ryan Mallett can win a game of Connect 4 in only 3 moves.

Bashing Notre Dame is always good here. Don't be shy to continue.
