the NFL and the NCAA...

I've learned a few things today......and my current thinking is that the NFL needs to start paying the NCAA a BOAT LOAD OF MONEY if they want to continue to use the colleges as a farm system....

the dichotomy of these two entities cannot continue to peacefully coexist.....and right now, the universities are on the VERY, VERY short end of the stick....

The NFL makes billions of dollars while the universities are stuck trying to figure out how to keep these kids amateurs......

Coaches like Bob Pruett resigning and "media scandals" are going to become more and more common b/c the system is so one-sided.

Want to blame someone for all of the problems....its not ESPN, its not tOSU, its not Colorado, its not Rick Neuheisel....

Its the NFL and the NCAA....

I was taught alot today by some very good people and i thank them....

end of rant....

boycott the nfl until they pony up the money they should to the universities...

You go guy!!

Here's the formula

X = average dollar value of a 4 year college scholarship
Y = average number of former NCAA athletes who are new additions to NFL rosters each year

X x Y = amount NFL needs to pony up--to be distibuted equitably among NCAA schools

They really do need to do more to support their farm system. They get enough in tacit exemptions from the tenets of capitalism. Take away their free ride.

ps. I take it there really is something to Pruett being forced out.
