The Ohio State Baseball (Official Thread)

From the Official OSU site:

"The Ohio State University Board of Trustees approved a three-year contract extension for Beals that will keep him in the dugout as head coach of the Buckeyes four more seasons and at least through the 2023 baseball season."

hooray

I feel the need to say this: I'm not a "FIRE THE GUY!!!11!!!" just because they have a bad year. I mocked the morons at 247 for stomping their feet and holding their breath wanting Stroud benched after the Oregon game. Same with the parade of incompetent boobs that have been the head coach of the Cleveland Browns. I feel that I have given Beals that benefit of the doubt and then some. His seemingly interminable stint here has more than proven to me that he is simply not Ohio State quality. Yes, baseball is not the sport here that football is, but JFC. The Buckeyes won titles and tournaments when I was in school here and prior to Beals they were perennial contenders. The only thing he has them contending for is the B1G basement. He simply has got to go.

I say fire Beals and hire "Unknown" he has a great record (i.e. 159-79-6, .664):

Heading to Columbus tomorrow and plan to attend the two-game series vs the Campbell Camels. Why? I have never seen a game at Bill Davis Stadium, I need to GTFO of NE Ohio for a few days, the weather is supposed to be nice, I want some Donatos pizza, and to stroll the campus of my beloved alma mater.

Reports to follow.

Not a big fan of Donatos but the rest sounds pretty awesome. Enjoy!

I have Donatos about once a year. I like it, but there's also probably some nostalgia at work. Never heard of it before I went to OSU, and when I'm back in Columbus I always get it at the same location I first had it in 1983. Checking Google maps it appears it's still there, north High Street just up the road from Buckeye Donuts.

It's a decent walk from my hotel on Olentangy, but that's probably a good thing at 57. "Founder's Favorite" every time.
