Ohio State Women's Basketball (2023-24 B1G CHAMPS)

They struggled against them less than 2 weeks ago on the road (OT) too so I wasn't surprised to see that it was another struggle last night, even with it being a home game. Tough to beat a rival twice with that quick of a turnaround playing them again. Just hate to see them drop home games when they had been playing so well.

13th ranked Bucks (20-5) visiting South Florida (19-5) and it's not going well at halftime, down 46-32. It's on espn2.

Until McGuff learns that basketball is a two-way game and he starts to teach defense or learn something about defense, I do not think that this program is going to succeed. I also think that there might be a problem with his communication skills with the number of transfers out and in. I had high hopes when he was first hired but now I think that Gene might want to look in another direction. I guess you can call me fickle.

Maybe we were talking about the wrong Dayton hoops coach last year? Shauna Green has 'em flying at 13-0 in A10 and 20-4 overall. @MaxBuck approves.

Yeah, I know Max wants to hit that:wink: but he might have to stand in line if she would come to Ohio State. Also, maybe Indiana was looking at the wrong coach:biggrin2:

Just noticed one of South Florida's losses was to Dayton. Probably good the Bucks don't have the Flyers on the schedule, given what USF is doing today.

USF 84
OSU 65

Very undisciplined. Like they're trying to just outscore everyone ala GSW. Anyone who has listened to me moan on this board for 15 years knows I hate teams that dont play defense. Better get it together Kev or the unemployment line is going to get longer.

Watched five minutes of that game and decided it was over. If a team gets something working against McGuff it works for 40 minutes.

Random question but does anyone know why Samantha Prahalis had such a short pro career? Great college career, 6th overall pick in the WNBA, pretty decent rookie year...and then basically never played again in the WNBA. I know she played a few seasons overseas before recently retiring, but still, a pretty surprisingly underwhelming and short pro career. Did she have a rep for being tough to deal with behind the scenes or something?

Interesting random question...

Here's one perspective on it:

And now maybe thinking about coaching?
