The Polls (AP, Coaches, & CFP, etc.)

So LSU is favored by 10 over number 9 Auburn and wins by 3. OSU is favored by 14.5 over number 13 Wisconsin and wins by 31. Someone please remind me why LSU gets a bigger bump in the polls than OSU?

Interesting to see that the shine is off the apple (a little) for Clemson in both polls.

Playing poorly in a few games + weaker than circus lemonade schedule = even when they blow the bad teams out they are slipping.

They also have zero quality opponents on the resume from here out unless ESPN gets the campaign for Wake kicked up a notch.

Also worth noting that there is a big gap between #4 and everyone else in both polls.

Well they didn't points wise. OSU gained 39 points while LSU gained 14. Just a factor of the top 2 being stupidly close together and noe the top 3

Buckeyes gained more votes than LSU did, they were just closer to Bama last week. What dragurd said.

LSU.....1462......1476... +14

What's interesting is that ESPN has always switched from using the AP rankings to using the Playoff Committee rankings once they come out. With the Bama-LSU game on Nov. 9th, and the AP likely to still have the Buckeyes #3 next week since the top 3 teams all have bye weeks, will ESPN switch to using the first Playoff Committee rankings that come out after 9 p.m. Eastern on Tuesday, 11/5 in between the Duke-Kansas and Sparty-Ky basketball games?

I think the Buckeyes will be at least #2 in the initial playoff rankings, so ESPN would need to use the poll rankings in order to hype Bama-LSU as #1-vs-#2.
