The Polls (AP, Coaches, & CFP, etc.)

Exactly. Also, when you get to 21-30, it’s really hard to figure that out because they are all pretty similar and “average”.

That is true, however when a SEC team who is average/slightly below average like A&M gets ranked, the talking heads use it as a talking point to prop up other SEC teams beating them "GREAT WIN OVER A RANKED A&M TEAM!" type stuff. Thats the difference between that and a team like Indiana being ranked, literally nobody was propping up Indiana.

In terms of getting the top seed, did the Tejas loss hurt LSU more than the Minnesota loss hurt tOSU?

LSU still has wins over Bama, Florida and Auburn to more than make up for Texas being garbage.

If Minnesota can rebound and win out, theyll likely still be top 10 heading into the B1G title game.

In the grand scheme neither matters though as long as both go undefeated.

meh, A&M will only be back for 1 week, they are about to lose their last 2 games @ UGA and LSU
I don't know... that's a whole heckuva lot of "quality losses" for A&M... Clemson, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, LSU... that might just vault them into the Top 15, especially with that dominating 31-27 win over perennial SEC powerhouse Arkansas.

Top 15? Can't we get them into the playoffs if they only lose to playoff teams?

No, because Texas was a top 10 team. Minnesota was a pretend that spent 1 week in the top 10.
well Minne was top 10 for the same amount of time but in a poll that actually mattered... Tejas was top 10 because they didn’t play anyone the first week and then lost to LSU .... haven’t been top 10 sense... so they were top 10 about the same amount of time... during the season

Was bored earlier and reading through some of the idiocy on secrant, one thread had a bunch of fans dumping on lsu's 4 "top 10" wins since texas and auburn are hardly top ten teams. And all the lsu fans were insisting ranking at time matters even in early weeks where texas/nd/tsun get massively over-ranked to sell preseason magazines.
